Crash & Burn is the term we use for the inevitable result of continuing to engage in an activity that is not sustainable.     Humanity today, 2011, is walking several paths that individually will lead to self-destruction and that collectively, are guaranteed to lead to a major, global-level Crash & Burn.   

If you study the history of democracy, you'll become aware that every democratic society in all of human history on planet Earth has self-destructed in the same way -- the atheist, money/dopamine addicts and the religious extremists have turned every democracy into a dictatorship.   Today, added to the traditional cycle in this latest democracy/dictatorship cycle, we have the multi-billion-dollar criminal illegal drug industry.  

You can see that the destruction of democracy is well under way here in the United States.   Each of these three groups is mindlessly using the other two to support accomplishing its own agenda.   The inevitable result if the cycle is not interrupted, is not only the destruction of a free country, but it's also, a global level Crash & Burn in which everybody loses.  

Whether you are rich or poor, black or white, male of female is completely irrelevant.   Even if you have access to the governments new, semi-secret, trillion-dollar underground, emergency, bunker system, in the long-term, you're still, a loser.
