Speaking Truth into the Face of the Lie

In order to end the anti-marijuana insanity, there are two major issues to focus on. One of those issues is getting the public beyond the prohibition propaganda and into the truth about marijuana, and particularly about medical marijuana.

For decades the illegal drug kingpins have been able to buy enough political power to keep marijuana illegal. Fortunately, they are losing that power. Like the prohibition of alcohol, the people eventually wake up and see the incredible amount of crime and destruction that comes with marijuana prohibition.

Of the two major issues this is the hardest one to get into the minds of the voting public. While continuing to educate the public, those of us who are advocating Marijuana Sanity need to focus on the money issue.

Money Tax Revenue Social Services

Money: The second issue is money. Legalizing both marijuana and hemp will have a huge, positive, financial impact on the California economy.

Getting to the Core Cause of the Opposition

Why are some people so adamantly opposed to allowing others to use marijuana? In seeking an answer, we suggest examining the detractor's belief system.

For all of us, everything in our external world is actually about our internal state of being. The experiences we have in the external world make us feel good, or they makes us feel bad. If we have an emotional hook to something, it's because whatever it is that we are adamant about triggers the pleasure/pain response within us. On the pain side, we feel anger and/or guilt from the past or fear about the future.

For those opposed to others using marijuana, their opposition is not about the marijuana users It's about the anger/guilt/fear reaction that someone else's behavior triggers inside them. And taking that one step further, when you get to the core issue, it's very likely that their opposition is because their entire fairytale belief system is being threatened.

We encourage someone to undertake a scientifically controlled study to see if what empirical evidence point to as the core cause of the oppositions motivation actually is their motivation.
